Jeremy Turner

Jeremy Turner’s career began with an instinct many people develop early but few pursue with such conviction: the desire to shape places where people live, work, learn, and heal. From a young age, he was drawn to understanding how the built environment influences lives—and how thoughtful development can strengthen communities. That curiosity eventually led him to the The University of Memphis, where he earned his business degree with a focus in finance, landing on the Dean’s List and building the analytical foundation that would guide every major decision that followed.
But Jeremy’s story isn’t just about numbers. It’s about transformation—of buildings, of neighborhoods, of community potential.
Early Career: Learning the Landscape

His professional journey began at CBRE, where he stepped into the world of real estate with the precision of an analyst. At a time when many new professionals are still finding direction, Jeremy was already managing national portfolios for clients like major automotive and electronics companies, analyzing lease structures, and untangling the complexities of monthly rent, reconciliations, and property strategy. He learned quickly how the smallest line item could shape the entire arc of a property’s lifecycle.

Hungry for deeper operational experience, he transitioned to property management roles at Sooner Management and later at Healthcare Realty Trust. There, he was entrusted with over 385,000 square feet of medical office buildings—spaces that directly supported doctors, administrators, and patients. He led budget cycles, capital projects, and lease negotiations, even guiding multi-million-dollar tenant improvement projects from conception to execution. His work wasn’t simply operational; it influenced the daily functioning of hospital systems like ✦ Saint Francis Hospital, ✦ Hahnemann University Hospital, and ✦ Frye Medical Center, ensuring their facilities could meet the needs of physicians and families across multiple states.

By the time he returned to CBRE as a Real Estate Manager, Jeremy had mastered both the financial and operational sides of the business. He negotiated more than 20 leases in a single year, generating over $3 million in revenue and proving that he could bridge data-driven insight with people-centered outcomes.

A Turning Point: Becoming a Builder of Vision

In 2016, Jeremy stepped into what would become the defining chapter of his professional life: joining Cushman & Wakefield as Vice President of Project Development Services. Here, Jeremy didn’t just manage real estate—he shaped it.

He became a leader of a service line that touched every phase of a project’s life: feasibility studies, preliminary budgeting, design oversight, construction management, and final closeout. The work was complex, high stakes, and deeply influential. And Jeremy excelled.

He helped develop over $110 million worth of commercial real estate and more than 1.5 million square feet of space, including:
-
The ground-up development of corporate headquarters for major organizations
-
The adaptive re-use of a vacant grocery store into an arts-focused charter school
-
Converting an empty warehouse into fully functioning surgery centers
-
Building pharmaceutical and medical warehouse spaces that would support life-saving care
-
Transforming blighted buildings into community assets—from an industrial climbing gym to a pay-it-forward membership model supporting an underserved Memphis neighborhood
Jeremy didn’t just build structures. He rebuilt possibilities.

His work at Memphis Merit Academy, where he helped transform abandoned structures into vibrant, child-centered learning environments, reflected his belief that real estate can be a conduit for opportunity. And the adaptive reuse projects he led became proof that with creativity and determination, neglected buildings can become cornerstones of renewal.

A Voice in His Industry and His Community

Outside the office, Jeremy invested just as much energy in his professional and local communities. He developed expertise in land use, zoning, board processes, investment analysis, and contract negotiation—skills honed through years of presenting to boards and guiding clients through regulatory hurdles.

He also earned his Tennessee real estate license and became a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors, contributing his expertise to professional committees. His commitment extended into service roles as well, including serving on the Believe Memphis Academy Board of Directors, where he supported academic, cultural, and facility committees. His leadership helped raise nearly $1 million for the local Make-A-Wish Foundation through the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council Golf Committee.

A Career Built on Impact

Fifteen years into his journey, Jeremy Turner has built a career defined by expertise, integrity, and impact. He has transformed blighted properties into thriving community spaces, guided corporate relocations, and built facilities that support education, healthcare, and business innovation. His work spans office, industrial, and retail asset classes, touching countless lives and reshaping the physical and social landscape of the city he calls home.
But beyond the numbers, Jeremy’s legacy is rooted in something more enduring: the belief that real estate isn’t just about property—it’s about possibility.

And at every step of his journey, he’s proven that with vision, collaboration, and a deep commitment to community, the places we build can build us right back.
